Saturday – December 12th, Artist AJ Moore of GudFit Entertainment was one of the featured authors at the Laredo Book Festival held at the Laredo Public Library.
First off I’d like to thank the Laredo Public Library for inviting me and putting on a great festival. The turnout was good and the attendees seemed to be very enthusiastic about the different authors and readings. Thank you for everyone who came to listen to the reading of Dorse and Doose: Sit, Stay, Dorse Play, because I gave you the best performance I could; complete with character voices and sound effects. There’s always a great deal of energy in the city of Laredo and this is one of the reasons why we like to come here and share our stories and art. Some attendees were long-time returning fans of The Super Newts while some received their first introduction to the wild antics of Curry the Goat.
I had the privilege to share a table with a fellow author named Madelynn Faith Niles and her proud father Chris Niles who’s the owner of Legacy Comics in Laredo. Madelynn is a strong young girl living a dream with a wonderful family. Madelynn and her sister Maddison were introduced to the world of Dorse and Doose and even got a bit of free swag. She has an amazing story to tell at such a young age, so please check out her book that will be released in early 2016. titled “My Hospital Journey” (It’s Okay to be Afraid.)
When the book is released you can buy it here.
And to keep up with Madelynn on her fanpage.
Thanks again to everyone who showed their support, I’m really looking forward to another opportunity to entertain you all in the future. Enjoy the pics.
